Chief Executive Officer

Nikos Kallas

One of Nikos Kallas’ earliest memories is spending weekend afternoons at the MET office, where he made paper airplanes from 40-inch sheets of paper and watched printing presses work their magic. It was the perfect introduction for what would become a successful 20-year career with one of North America’s premier printers.

As CEO, Nikos oversees the overall direction of the business and leads the company’s robust sales and marketing arm.

When he’s not on his endless hunt for the latest industry innovation, Nikos enjoys a good run, trying new recipes with Kallas First Press olive oil, and savouring the perfect Americano with friends. He holds a B.A. in economics and business from the University of Western Ontario.

Dan McDonald

For Dan McDonald, what began as a means to supplement his work as a sculptor soon evolved into a long-time printing career. Working his way up through the pressroom, he discovered a passion for print, which combined his fine arts sensibility and knowledge of colour with the creativity and mechanical troubleshooting expertise required in the print industry.

Now a 30-year MET veteran, Dan leads the diverse and intricate technical operations of the press shop, working closely with his fellow press technicians, account executives and clients to continually raise the bar and achieve the exceptional results for which MET is known.

In addition to loving the art of print, Dan’s other self-admitted passion is skiing, a sport he and his family have eagerly pursued every year “the minute the snow falls” for as long as he can remember.
