MIKE WINTERINGHAM » Vice President, Manufacturing
Mike Winteringham is known for leaving an indelible mark on things. With more than two decades of experience as a lead press operator, he has for the last 12 years served as Metropolitan’s master printer, supervising one of North America’s most awarded pressrooms. He has also played a pivotal role in developing and implementing Metropolitan’s signature MET UV technology as well as the company’s innovative Enviro Image Solutions, which offers printers sustainable, cost efficient production options.
A huge proponent of education, Mike led Metropolitan’s initiative to be the first pressroom in Canada to have all of its pressmen certified by both the National Council of Skill Standards and Graphic Arts Technical Foundation. Outside the pressroom, he shares his expertise and passion for printing with tomorrow’s graphic arts specialists as an instructor with BC Institute of Technology’s Graphic Communications program.
Mike is almost as fond of sports as he is of graphic arts production. When this Vancour native is not pulling for the Vancouver Canucks or Boston Red Sox, he is likely cheering on the Little League baseball and youth soccer teams that he coaches. He, his wife and two young boys are also big fans of BC’s Okanagan region, where they explore the area as much as they can in the family RV.
