Environmental Rag program
Metropolitan was the first printer in BC to implement a new, environmentally friendly program that enables its press team to clean equipment with fully recyclable cotton manufactured rags in lieu of standard cloth cleaners. The used rags are then processed in a rotary kiln and used as alternative fuel. Aluminum plates and any leftover inks are picked up by manufacturers for future re-use.
