The GDC/BC Salazar Student Awards were established in 1985 to honour Enrique Salazar, a founding member of the Society, a BC National Representative, Partner in Salazar Graphics and a highly regarded member of the BC design community.
Among many other achievements, Enrique Salazar remained committed to design education throughout his career and taught Graphic Design at Capilano College until his death in June 1985.
MET Fine Printers, the Founding Sponsor of this event, has once again joined with the GDC to commemorate Enrique Salazar and celebrate BC’c most talented and promising design students and their inspirational work.
Now in their 10th year, MET Fine Printers, founder of Canstruction Vancouver has assembled 19 teams, 35 plus pallets of canned food and let loose a tempest of creativity. This years theme of “Vancouver” was presented by a wide range of iconic images from Fluor’s rotating Umbrella Skyline of Vancouver, Levelton Consulting’s amazing Eagle Cam and Perkins+Will / MET Fine Printers Chinese Dragon in the Four Seasons Gallery. The event is open to the public for FREE Monday March 26th through to April 4th 9:30 am – 5pm. Bring your family down, enjoy the creativity, do your good deed for the day, have a little fun. …. ok, Barry, nice job of supervising.
